Chinese Logistics industry shows a pattern of rapid development as a whole. However with the increasingly fierce market competition, the logistics industry is also facing a major crisis. Warehouse is the core part of logistics activities and its operation quality will affect the efficiency and benefit of the whole logistics system. Scientific and reasonable in the storage system facilities plans to fully integrate human, material, equipment and resources, simplify the logistics process, improve logistics efficiency. Logistics simulation is mainly using computer technology to the real logistics system simulation, a variety of dynamic activities and processes to follow an instant record and verify the validity, rationality and optimize the effect of logistics engineering construction project through the simulation experiment. This paper takes DC company maize warehouse as the background, using SLP (systematic layout planning) to be scientific and rational layout of the operation unit, and carries on simulation system with Flexsim software, finds out the warehouse system at run time "bottleneck", then the entire logistics system to improve.This paper first introduces the current research on warehouse management and logistics system simulation, then introduces to the warehouse and warehouse management principles and methods, and the properties for DC company maize warehouse is described, which provides a foundation for the following optimization. Then analyze the logistics system simulation software, especially consisting of discrete event system simulation, Then on the Flexsim software, the functions and characteristics, terminology and basic modeling steps in detail.This paper is mainly based on the storage system of DC company as object of study, to find the problems in the management of equipment, layout and facilities. The paper puts forward some ideas to improve, and applies the SLP method to each unit of storage system of logistics and non logistics relation are analyzed, considering all the factors, the unit layout optimization. Finally the application of Flexsim software to simulate the warehouse, analysis of inbound and outbound concrete operation process and data collection, through the simplification and abstraction of real physical systems, system simulation model of warehousing operations. Combined with the characteristics of corn storage and warehousing management principle analysis of their rationality in the system model, establish the optimization target for optimization methods, improve the model and run multiple times and the optimal model, reduce the labor intensity of the storage cost and the staff, improve storage efficiency.
