With the acceleration of industrial upgrading,competition among manufacturing enterprises is becoming increasingly fierce.At present,it is difficult for China's manufacturing enterprises to increase sales volume by increasing prices or sales volume.Therefore,more and more manufacturing enterprises begin to focus on reducing costs.Due to the advantages of efficient facility layout,such as reducing invalid flows between equipment,shortening production preparation time,shortening product manufacturing cycle and improving productivity,manufacturing enterprises pay more attention to the rationality of facility layout.Through a large number of practical studies,it is found that the operating cost of production activities mainly comes from the material handling cost,accounting for 30%to 75%of the total operating cost,while the material handling cost can be reduced by reasonable layout of facilities.In order to improve the efficiency of facility layout,this paper studies the unequal area facility layout.The main contents include:Firstly,an improved representation method of flexible bays structure is proposed for the single-period problem.This method increases the directivity of bays on the basis of flexible bays structure,so that more layout possibilities can be obtained for the same workshop.On the basis of considering the shape of facilities,the model of unequal area facilities aiming at material handling cost is established.By combining simulated annealing algorithm with domain re-search strategy,the algorithm can not only search the whole world quickly,but also search the optimal solution effectively.Finally,the optimization results of this paper are compared with the known optimal results to prove the effectiveness and applicability of the improved flexible bays structure and algorithm.Secondly,the single production cycle is extended to multiple production cycles,and the reconfigurable unequal area facility layout model is established with cost(material handling cost and facility reconstruction cost)as the target.Combining the root growth optimization algorithm with the domain re-search strategy,three examples(from simple to complex)were simulated to find the optimal layout of each example.At last,two problems of the research are summarized,and possible future research directions are sorted out and prospected...
