Microstrip antenna with its thin profile, easy line and circular polarization, easyto manufacture, can be changed to any shape, and has the advantages of easy multifrequency, bandwidth and other more important academic and engineering circles。The dual frequency microstrip antenna and as one of the very importantblock.Because of its ability to adapt to the wireless communication, experts andscholars of multi band communication content is.But due to various reasons, thedomestic research on dual frequency antenna is still not much. Especially the centerfrequency of two frequency bands and accurate positioning in the dual band antenna, and the bandwidth, is always a difficult point of the research. Aiming at theseproblems, this paper studies the dual frequency microstrip antenna theory. And thesimulation design on the part of the model. This paper introduces the research status of the microstrip antenna. Thedevelopment course of the microstrip antenna, related principles and parameters of thedual frequency microstrip antenna. And select the rectangular patch microstripantenna for dual frequency operation, simulation and PIFA with U slot antenna. Thecenter frequency is2.45GHz and1.9GHz dual frequency microstrip antenna, theimpedance matching, structure parameters optimization, patch type U slot, that, in the1.9GHz, the antenna return loss of-34.66dB, the relative bandwidth is2.46%; in2.45GHz, the antenna return loss of-30.25dB, the relative bandwidth is2.55%, thedesign results much better than conventional antenna return loss less than-20dB, therelative bandwidth is not less than2%requirements.At the same time, plane U slot onthe patch antenna surface of the inverted F antenna (PIFA) design simulation. Get thecenter frequency at900MHz and1800MHz around, antenna return loss is less than-14dB, the two resonance point coordination optimization, obtained at-10dB with abandwidth of less than30MHz results.
