Paper’s main work andachievements include:(1) Elaborated the paper’s background and significance in detail, discussed the researchprogress of electronic map, navigation, electronic guide, and cloud GIS, and studied the relevanttheories and key technologies in the system research and application.(2) Discussed the kinds of the smart phone guide system, and analyzed each kind’scharacteristics and functions.(3) Discusses the smart phone guide system construction tasks, the structure of the system,analyzed the smart phone guide system’s main function modules in detail, and designed the systemdatabase in detail according to the characteristics of the system application and user requirements.(4) Through the cloud GIS, the electronic map technology, intelligent mobile terminals,ArcGIS and related WebGIS service, achieved the self-help travel in Qingmingshanghe garden,broke the restriction of the traditional tour guide, and solved the contradiction between lots oftourists and the traditional guide’s limited service ability.(5) Above all, through the research of the present smart phone guide system’s types andfunctions, on the basis of the study of the key technology of the smart phone guide system,according to user requirements and the feasibility of the system implementation, the paperdesigned and implemented the smart phone guide system taking Qingmingshanghe garden asexample.
