A Text Study On Yuansheng Newsletter

At the beginning of the Republic of China, the journalism had ushered in thisperiod. The freedom of expression bill were introduced by the government. Becauseof this, a large number of newspaper were published, a lot of journalists were needed,the journalism had been toward professional direction, which changed the mode ofoperation of the newspaper,and promoted the innovations for newspapers. The newsstylistic also had been diversity. There were many professional news reporter whowere the characteristic of this period. Yuansheng’s newsletters was born under thebackground. Huang yuansheng was a famous reporter in the beginning of theRepublic of China, who was the founder of newsletter and his articles were popular inreaders.This thesis is based on the theory of text and news narratology, and analysis ofposthumous work of yuansheng and other works in newspapers so that summarize thestructures and features in yuansheng newsletters and the strategies and models ofnews narrative. At the same time, the thesis will analyze the in-depth meanings onyuansheng newsletters from the social background and cultural psychology andideological values of the beginning of the Republic of China.
