At present the research to the thoughts of Huang Yuan Sheng lacks the awareness of entirety,the introduction of the lifetime, the experience of life, the ideal of polity, and the alienation of thoughts and practice. People ignored the roles he played to carry on the past heritage and open up the future as well as the common things among the persons at his age.This essay tries to use the methods of Literature Analysis and history comparison research to inspect the value of the journalism thoughts of Huang Yuan Sheng. From the technical aspect, the essay takes the journalism thoughts of Huang as the skeleton, to combine the introduction of the lifetime, the experience of life, the ideal of polity, the practice of journalism , so as to recurrent the panorama of Huang,s thoughts, and to compare the thoughts with Liang Qi Chao,s and Shao Piao Ping,s to show that Huang,s thoughts is inherited and creative and intercommunity. Of the content of researchment, it devided into two main parts: in the first part, it based on the research result of the past(it conclude four chapters), it made an entirely, deeply and system conclusion, which is absorbed and referenced through the mission of the journalism, the objectivity of the journalism, the freedom of speech under the law, the journalists' quality. In the language situation of the early years of Republic of China, Huang insisted that newspaper speaks for people's life. He insisted to make the news report true and objective and he eagered to protect the freedom of speech. He is the first person to propose the journalist's professional quality of "thinking, walking, listening and writing".In every chapter, it discussed the inherit and inauguration of Huang from Liang,s thoughts. It discussed Huang succeed Liang,s mission of "superintend government, supervisor people", and the special quality of "gong", thoughts about freedom and independence of speaking, the attainment of the newspaper people, make them his own connotation. And it discussed the intercommunity of Huangyuansheng and Shaopiaoping' thoughts under the "news-oriented" age: emphasis the public attributes of the media, the objectivity of news writing, the idea of independence, the freedom of news by law, and the professional requirement to the journalists.The second part is the conclusion one, firstly, it summed up Huangyuansheng's thoughts to get the meaningful result that Huangyuansheng pursuit the true things of the journalism, it started from the people of the country and end up at the society. Secondly, the further discussion shows that Huangyuansheng's journalism thoughts have the succession, inauguration and intercommunity and the extension it concludes: his practice changed the development orbit conducted by political remark in Chinese modern history of journalism and made news the main body of the paper. The "truth of news" and "objective awareness" he proposed is the earliest construction of journalism in the modern times. From the angel of a journalist, he firstly proposed the "four capability" which reflects the professional behavior pattern. Thirdly, it discusses the intercommunity between Shao,s thoughts and Huang,s thoughts, form the "mission of newspaper, the principle of writing, the newspaper under the law and the professional quality of the journalist". And from the intercommunity, it shows the tendency of "public-oriented, news-oriented, journalist-oriented, protected by law", which were insisted in the early years of the Republic of China.Huang is a star risen in that dark era and also the injustice spirit swallowed by the dark era. He tried to complete the contracture of the history of journalism during the early first to fourth year of the Republic of China. He not only inriched the bourgeois theory but also made a reference to the construction of the journalism theory.
