The main content of this paper is about the design and research of moving targetdetection and tracking system based on the embedded Linux system. The purpose of thesubject can realize on moving target detection and tracking, which is based on the research ofthe hardware and algorithm. First, this paper introduces the composition and feature of theembedded system hardware platform, real-time operating system is widely used in many fieldswith the embedded system platform. With the rapid development of the embedded systemplatform, it is tending to be miniaturization and real-time much than before. It chooses theOV511USB camera, LCD monitor and other equipments based on the embedded systemplatform. Later, it builds a cross-complication environment, cuts the kernel of Linux systemand moves it to the platform of the hardware.Under the simple background, it adopts the method of motion target tracking based oncamera calibration. It discusses the camera calibration techique, introduces the background ofthe development of the camera calibration at home and abroad, and derives the theoreticalformula. The first step is that to get both of the internal parameters and external parameters ofthe camera with the Calibration plate which is as high as the accuracy of0.01, and then itextracts and processes the target sequence image with the technology of the imagepreprocessing, and convert it into binary image. The method mentioned above can get theinformations of the image, the center of the gravity moment, the arc angle between the longaxis of the object and the X axis,and realize the moving target identification and location.This paper introduces the some common methods of target tracking at home and abroad.For example the method of Hausdorff which can solve the problem, the target is hidden by theother object. The particle filter algorithm based on matching. When to track the moving targetin complex background, this article adopts the algorithm of optical flow method based onembedded Linux system platform to achieve the goal of tracking the moving target. Opticalflow algorithm of target tracing method can be use to detect the object in many environment.This article mainly put forward two methods of differential method for sequence imageprocessing, with the method it can forecast the direction of the moving target.
