With the rapid development of modern industry, the productionequipments continues to expand the scale of production, technology and process becomesmore and more complex, the enterprises with production automation and all kinds ofinformation integration requests a higher level, and the traditional industrial controlsoftware has been unable to meet different requirements of the customers. SupervisoryControl and Data Acquisition (SCADA) takes a solution to the various problems of thetraditional industrial control software, the user can configurate any control object with anycontrol purpose at will, to complete the automation control.A host computer monitoring configuration software is designed based on C#in thispaper．The hardware structure of this host computer system includes engineer station andoperator station．The configuration software contains graphic interface module，trendcurve module，and database module．It meets the basic needs of small and mediumenterprises in the cement industry．In order to achieve briefness and easy to operate，thefunction of the graphical interface is cut to the most simple，the commercial database SQL2008is used as a software database．The functions of the graphic interface module has to achieve is to generate and editthe workflow chart．In order to make it simple and easy to use，this module has only somebasic graph elements，which include dot，line，circle，text，and bitmap．Complex graphscall be drawn with advanced drawing software，and then copy-pasted onto the graphicinterface of this software．The database module is the core of the host computer monitoring configurationsoftware．The database has to retrieve the field data in a timely and accurate fashion，which is a prerequisite to the whole control system．Moreover， the database managementsystem is the pivot of the graphic system，reporting system，and trend-curve system．Thekey issue of the database module is how to keep the data consistency with real-timeconstraints．So the design of the database system structure and the implementation of thedatabase management system are the most important and difficult points of thisconfiguration software．In this paper，Windows XP is used as system developmentenvironment．Visual C#is used as development tool．...
