The construction of dynamic geometry resource databases is a hot topic. At present, thetraditional education resource databases commonly using three search methods are keywordsearch, classified search and based on figure search. But these search methods are not suitablefor dynamic geometry resource databases searching. The lack of effective search algorithmwill become a bottleneck of controlling dynamic geometry resource databases. Therefore, theprimary problem we need to solve is search algorithm.In this paper, we present a new method to search dynamic geometric figure and designdynamic geometry resource databases specifically aiming at geometric subject. Firstly,according to the characteristics of geometric disciplines and the formation of process ofgeometric figure, this paper represents each geometric figure as drawing order, drawing orderof each graph constitutes a graphical XML document. XML documents are stored in resourcedatabases, so that reduce the waste of resource database memory greatly. Secondly, due to theparticularity of dynamic geometric figure, this paper proposes feature extraction algorithm fordynamic geometric figures. Because each geometric figure is composed of basic geometricobject, feature code is combination of each basic object, which contains the point feature code,circular feature code, linear feature code, line feature code and triangle feature code. Thendistinguish between graphics of feature code similarity according to the similarity. Finally,this paper uses Microsoft SQL2012to establish a dynamic geometry resource databases inthe operating environment of Visual Studio2010, and create various of pages to achievegetting data from a database with ASP.NET4.0as the search platform, do a series of featureextraction, similarity comparison, complete geometry search.In this paper, online search for dynamic geometry resource databases has the characteristics of strong of discipline, efficient, implement easily. Not only can be convenient to finddifficult problems for students, but also can be convenient for teachers’ teaching. At the sametime, the discipline resource database has implication for other subject resource databasedevelopment. Therefore, this approach has the very high value of education and significanceof education.
