The suspension bridge is one of the largest bridge with the spanning capability inall of the bridges, especially it has the absolute advantage when the span was overkilometers. Catwalk suspension as an essential intermediate structures in the bridgeconstruction process (merely acting as the main cable erection platform), and it playsan important role in the construction control of the suspension. However, with theincreasing of the suspension bridge’ span, the nonlinear response of the catwalkstructures become more and more obviously under the various loads. In this case, thereshould pursuit a higher precision to the Catwalk structure design and construction inorder to ensure the ideal linear suspension of the bridge superstructure.In the current computational analysis software of the suspension Catwalk, most ofthem was using the finite element theory. The analysis iterative method’s calculationprocess is clearly and logical, and the input data is concisely, a small occupation incomputer memory footprint, high accuracy and fast convergence rate and so on. It ismore suitable for the calculation and analysis construction control of the suspensionbridge Catwalk structure. Catwalk suspension will be as the main object of study in thisarticle, with a lot of access to the relevant literature and organize project examples,based on the parameters for the suspension bridge catwalk, the Catwalk computingtheory and calculation procedures aims to carry out research work in the followingareas:①Basis on the a large number of research projects and examples, summarized thebasic form of suspension Catwalk structure, and there is a qualitative analysis to theadvantages and disadvantages of each form of the conduct Catwalk.②To make a precisely analysis of the structural parameters and the designparameters suspension Catwalk (parameter error) on the Catwalk of the geometry andinternal forces.③To introduce a system of computing theory and their respective accuracy, andthe use of cable structures; aimed to the intermittent Catwalk structure and proposed theiterative method to calculate the analytic theory.④To use the Java programming language to prepare the suspension Catwalkcalculation program, and exploit it on the interface to form a good interactive features.⑤Programming interfaces for the computing modules are encapsulated and packaged and released.⑥According to the examples of verification procedures in accordance with theproject, the software compares the measured results with the results of engineeringexamples and other software to calculate the results, to indicate the suitability of thesoftware.Catwalk suspension structure calculation program can be directly used in thepreparation of this paper, three-span intermittent Catwalk construction control analysisand calculation, and the program development process can be used for engineering andtechnical officers.
