This subject is supported by one scientific research project. According to the actualrequirements of enterprise manufacturers, we determine to develop an intelligent LEDdigital tube automatic tester. Based on the working principle of LED digital display, andthen set test criterion and test conditions, we are be able to test forward voltage and reversecurrent of the measured components to detect whether it qualified, which effectivelyimprove the efficiency of detection.This subject design is divided into the upper and lower machine. Hereinto, the lowermachine designs test circuits of forward conduction voltage, reverse leakage current,testing loop as well as array selection and the other main function modules, which arebased on C8051MCU characteristics. Unlike the lower, the upper machine createsoperation surface using VB programming to control the lower machine, so that we canmake the upper and the lower machine to communicate and transport data themselves.What’s more, the main design in this module focuses on serial communication and dataprocessing which can be realized by MSComm control.The finished test system in this subject is compact, and debugging is convenient as wellas maintenance. Choosing different interface in different test system and assisting byprogrammed procedures can achieve fast automatic test on different types of components,and the system parameters to measure progress reaches the target requirements (within2%).At present, the instrument has been passed calibration and can be put into normaloperation.
