Under the process of the Sino-Japan cultural exchange, the books, as a culturalcarriers, play very important role in it. The Four Music Books of Japan includeskyoukunshou zokukyoukunshou taigenshou gakkaroku. The data source is very rich:they are not only a large number of quoted Japanese ancient books, but also involved inthe references of the Chinese books in high rate. Therefore, these serial of Music Booksare regard as the most significant documents in history of Japan.The writer categories and analyzes the quotations of the Chinese Books exist in theMusic Books, whose main goal as follows:Firstly, according to the study of the Music Books, with the help of the statisticswould reflect the Chinese documents and related backgrounds in some extent. Secondly,reappear the cultural exchange of the Sino Japan in ancient times and their specialvehicle (Ancient Books).Thirdly, due to parts of the quotations supplements the lostpieces in ancient books of china, so it can be great help on the collation of ancientliterary books and documents.Fourthly, set up the research dates base in Japan musicdocumentary materials.This paper is divided into four chapters to study Japan’s Four Music Books andrelated Chinese documents. Chapter One, briefly introduce the Books and the author.Chapter two, form a lists and analyze the Chinese quotations. Chapter Three, comparethe difference and similarity between the quotations and the original sentences inChinese books, and find the pattern and law in it. Chapter Four, Conclusion.
