Active receiving antennas are antennas in which the active devices are integrated directly in the antenna structure. With the rapid development of wireless communication techniques, it requires that the RF front to be smaller in volume, more efficient, lower in loss and in noise figure. The presentation of active antenna with active devices and passive antennas just met with the needs. This paper gives emphasis to the research of some problems about the theory and design of the active receiving antenna.Firstly, radiated theory of microstrip antennas can be particularly introduced. Using the transmission line modeling theory and the cavity modeling theory of microstrip antenna can derive the electromagnetic parameters. According to the design empirical formula of microstrip antenna, a rectangular microstrip patch antenna is designed by Ansoft HFSS software.Secondly, radiated theory of super heterodyne receiver and low noise amplifier can be particularly introduced.According to the design theory and technology of super heterodyne receiver, an active antenna with super heterodyne receiver is designed by Agilent ADS. The final results are accord with the demand of the design.Finally, the results and problems are analyzed. |
