With the development of wireless communication network, digitalization, intelligentization and diversification are the new targets of evolution. In the upcomingLTE era, new technology not only provides the improvement of network speed andcapacity, but also guarantees the quality of communication and variety of services. With the evolution of wireless access network, it is more demanding of the wirelessbasis station backhaul technology. Under this circumstance, it is unavoidable that thefundamental bearer network, a significant part of wireless network, has to optimize andreform. It is of high priority for carrieroperators to build a bearer network that meets therequirements of future wireless services. This network has to be simple, efficient, expandable, maintainable and low-cost. With the growing need of LTE services, therecomes the technology of station backhaul based on IP/MPLS, which is also known asIPRAN. This technology has become the main selection for carrier network in currentstage. This article focuses mainly on how to run the layout of a packet bearer networkusing IPRAN.First of all, taking the project of packet network reform among carrieroperatorsinto consideration, this article proposes an applicable scheme of packet bearer networkconstruction, providing the carrieroperators with a replicable model. This schememainly considers the principle, realization and capacity of some of the key parts of thenetwork construction, such as IP planning、Routing protocol and Business bearing. Then this article keeps an account of the method and data of the test taken on actualnetwork project, which verifies the credibility of this model. At the end of this article, the writer puts forward a blue print of the bearernetwork development, and makes suggestions on how to improve the construction ofnetwork.
