3G network, attracting operators great consideration, supports high-speed data access. With its growing service flow rate, the traditional transport network which is based in TMD shows its disadvantage because of its low transmission efficiency. In this respect, it can hardly meet services growing need for bandwidth, which also has brought huge transmission pressure in cost. At present, many operators adopt SDH/MSTP, Ethernet switches, routers and other networks to operate different services, and they maintain the system by themselves. However, this circumstance still hard to fit the multi-services bearer and the demand of lowering the operation cost. Therefore, there is a need to create a more flexible, more efficient and lower cost packet transport platform to achieve the all-service uniform bearing of all services.Under this background, by analyzing the physical topological structure, network and routing protocol arrangement as well as the test of business access capability of a telecom operator's IPRAN experimental network, this paper obtains the first hand information of the IPRAN experimental network, confirming the carrying capacity of IPRAN on the basis of experimental unit, and establish the foundation of the development of moving data traffic and the progressing to the LTE loading net.This paper mainly discusses the RAN net based on the overall IP framework, and at the same time in view of operating agencies'current situation puts forward kinds of solutions according to different transmitting patterns to help operating agencies build up IP RAN net. Under the situation that mobile communication gradually evolve to ALL IP, this paper analyses strategies for the construction of RAN network in the view of RAN net's tendency of IP, and make sure the current thread of RAN construction. The main point of this paper is to investigate the IP-DSLAM and its evolutionary pattern from different moments and angles, to discuss approaches that make use of IP technology especially MPLS to build up networks, for the realization of flat upgrade of network and then provide a valuable reference mode for the construction of mobile RAN network.
