Therefore, the paper discusses thedefinition and evaluation of convergent degree, constructs a practical the evaluationsystem of convergent degree, and puts forward the specific ways to improve theconvergent degree of television program in the future.What TV program convergent degree is the degree and influence of thetelevision content production, transmission channel and the promotion of issue in thenew media environment, including the degree of TV program and network terminal,mobile phone and other new media terminal, in addition, the twice communicationand public praise effect is also taken into consideration. It mainly embodies theconvergent degree of program content, the breadth and depth of communicationchannels, the interact motivation of audience, the influence of evaluation. Throughthe assessment of convergent degree, we can make up the defects of single audiencerating, which motivate the innovation of program. The paper puts forward acomprehensive evaluation index,“convergent degree”, including the coverage ofnew media, the audience rating, the index of social appraisal, the index of new mediaquality, the input and output of market index. What’s more, not only should weconsider the whole process of program production, including the program early,mid-term and the final part, but subjective evaluation, objective evaluation and themarket efficiency of program also should be taken into consideration to forma multi-level and multi angle evaluation in the evaluation model.Because of the TV convergent degree evaluation system，the purpose of thepaper is expected to strengthen the joint of program channels, establish a big editingroom, optimize the user experience, layout of OTT TV development frame work, andenhance the new media data capture ability with scientific methods under the newmedia era.
