With the continuous development of Internet communication technology, social media has become an important part of the online world. As a propagation mechanism of social media, social models are bridge of media platforms and subjects. Its development promotes the enhancement of social medias’function and perfection. At present, whether social media or social models has more and more profound influence on the development of human society. This paper will take social models in Chinese social media as the object of study, makes systematic research on the situation and analysis the existing obstacles of it, and puts forward some corresponding measures. It not only has important theory significance, but also has important practical significance.This paper argues that social models in social media are made of subject, information, channel and effect. In the initial part, the operation of power is the main psychological needs, power core link is the transmission of information content, guarantee link is the channel environment, channel conditions, and finally in the output link is a social effect. According to the main usage and elements of the different attributes, social models can be mainly divided into two types:relationship social model and information social model. On social subject, both of social models are mainly young user groups, education level is higher, the young and middle-aged group ratio in information social model is greater than relationship social model. In information quality, relational social mode has higher information credibility, while information social model has higher information discretion. In the channel environment, the relationship social model is a relatively stable, closed, has relationship barriers and stronger privacy, while the information social model is open relationship and has weaker barriers. It belongs to the weak relationship chain; the maximum effect of relationship social model is to build and maintain relationships, influence and control others’perception or behavior; information social model’s maximum effect is to study and entertainment, through the acquisition of information to achieve the needs of self-realization. But the two social models are not completely meeting the main requirements of subjects. At present, there are some problems in two of Chinese social models. Suggestions will put forward from protection of subjects, supervision of information system, and design of media and social guidance to improve it.
