With the devolpment of economic level and the improvement of technology, modern societypeople’s activity tends to be reduced, but it has been proved that it is healthy for people to remainphysical activity.Physical activity is the basic method to make people better in physical and spirithealthy.Thought it it important to develop a group physical activity monitoring system to guideand improve society people to participate physical exercise.This article has analyzed anddesigned a group physical activiy monitoring system based on Internet of things.The system is divided by physical activity monitoring end device, data colletor and gateway.The end device can detect variety of movement and posture of a people through advance triaxialacceleration sensors, evalue the motion models by testing he environment by a light sensor,calculate the corresponding frequency, intensity and duration of physical activity to quantitativemeasure people’s daily physical activity.By using the Zigbee technology,Embedded MCUtechnology and cloud computing technology,combined the large-scale data collect algorithms,the data can be transferred to a upper monitor to establish a service system to provid people howthe make a activity plan and effect evaluation feed back and method guidance.This article mainly describe the hardware and software design of2.4GHz antenna, triaxialacceleration sensors, the hardware designe and software designe of data collector and gatewaybased on ARM9is also represented.The collision avoid mechanism between large-scalemonitoring end device and data collector is also the key research in this article.Finally a experiment has been done between the data collector and monitoring end device,The test results were analyzed through sampling test, the conclusion showed that such system isconform to requirements.
