Research And Design Of Smart Home System Based On Zigbee And ARM9

With the fast development of digital information and network technologies, and continuous improvement of people's living standards, the relationship between people's daily life and information is becoming closer. We can say that the information society is gradually changing the way people live and work,but also the traditional home posed a challenge, intelligent home came into being.Combined ZIGBEE technology with ARM technology, this article created the central gateway hardware platform, which based on ARM microprocessor. We can access to public networks through Ethernet or public telephone network, and domestic appliances and other networking facilities will be connectivity into one through the ZIGBEE Wireless LAN to achieve information appliances. Users can check the status of home appliances and control those appliances through a remote PC or telephone. Major research is as follows:1)Analysis the feasibility of the whole system, including the selection of the processor and the board's, the system performance parameters and other settings.2)Firstly, the kernel of Linux operating system was researched. Then, Intensive study was made on memory management, process management, file management system, device management of Linux operating system. Serial Port reading or writing program based on Linux operating system was wrote, which lay the root for system development.3)The related technology of embedded development was researched, especially the embedded system based on arm 9 processor and its peripheral equipment. Hereby the linux operating system, embedded file system and embedded database were transplanted on the arm 9 development board in the paper.4)After researching the knowledge of the Web server and Common Gateway Interface (CGI), an embedded ARM-based ZIGBEE home gateway is designed on this base, which implements the remote control of information appliances.5)Research on the ZIGBEE wireless communication protocol stack, the layers of the ZIGBEE protocol, ZIGBEE network topology and ZIGBEE routing. Form a ZIGBEE star-network in smart home application.The system has good man-machine interface and remote access capabilities, good probability and extension. You can easily have the expansion of sensors on ZIGBEE module according to specific requirements in order to achieve more application.
