The Dongtian Qinglu Jiwritten by Zhao Xihu in the Southern Song Dynasty andpreserved still now, is one of the significant works in the history of Chinese art. Thewhole editions of the Dongtian Qinglu Ji which were collected and collated bypredecessors have lost the original features, in which some important editions werenot selected. Therefore, fundamental questions on this book remain to be furtherresponded and explored.This thesis fundamentally arranges and researches Zhao’s Dongtian Qinglu Ji, dividedinto two parts including textual criticism and studies on relative questions, to promotethe development in this area. On the base of other editions not used by predecessors,this paper tries to comprehensively present its textual status by proofreading andexploring its spreading conditions in the past dynasties in the former part, and thendemonstrates such research difficulties as Zhao’s lifetime, book title, falsification ofhis other book named Tiao Xie Lei Bianvia new materials in the research part,involving its studying works of past ages and edition origins.
