With the development of computer technology, every industry is experiencing the wave of information. Defense technology is generally at the forefront of technology. The United States and other developed countries attach great importance to the construction of military information. In the field of logistics management, through actual practice in recent times, the United States military has had an effective and efficient logistical supplies based on radio frequency identification (RFID) technology, realized logistical supplies of visual management, and built the global standard on RFID. In short, the U.S. is at the forefront of the world in the defense field of information technology. In comparison, Chinese military is at a relatively back backward position on the method of information management, especially in the life-cycle management of weaponry and military vehicles area.This paper targets on the weakness of basic units in equipment and vehicles, studying the feasibility and technologies of combination of RFID and fingerprint recognition technology.The condition of the system required hardware and software technologies are analyzed and discussed, respectively. By combining these two technologies, we can achieve the identification the identity of objects and people via computer system. Then, through the application of database, we can control the users’ access to information and limit using time. By this system, managers can obtain and control the information of all equipment in real-time, get alert for any illegal usage and ensure the safety and convenience of equipment. At the same time, RFID electronic tags have storage function, with a RFID reader, we can understand the life-cycle information of corresponding equipment and vehicles, providing the reference for maintenance.Chapters IV and V, respectively, are execution of military equipment and vehicles automatic management system on hardware and software system. Hardware system uses ultrahigh frequency RFID long-distance reader system, TCS316based embedded fingerprint identification system and CAN based bus technology and communication network design. Software designs into a database module, equipment and vehicles location detection module, equipment and vehicles ins and outs planning module, management module and alarm module. Combined the daily application case, the entire system has been validated.
