Warehouse management plays a vital role in enterprise management. In the pursuit ofefficiency and quality, whether the warehouse management can effectively guarantee thepurchase, inventory management and delivery is directly related to the company’s owncompetitiveness.Especially for discrete processing and assembly companies, the requirementsof warehouse management are getting stricter and stricter because of the various changedmarket environment, the shortened ware turn over cycles and the production mode ofmulti-categories but small quantities.Some processing and assembling enterprises have been using the traditional warehousemanagement software; however, the software’s deficiency has determined that it won’t meetthe enterprises’ needs. The main problems are poor functions, low input manual inefficiency,frequent error-makings, weak inflexibility and serious isolated information problems and soon.To solve the shortcomings of warehouse management mode in traditional assemblyenterprises, an intelligent warehouse information management system based on internet ofthings is designed, which combined warehouse management and enterprise management,production management and supply chain management. Meanwhile, it manages and allocatesdifferent data from different companies and departments by using optimization algorithms,RFID technology, database technology and wireless network technology to achieve theintelligent management.For the features of warehouse management in traditional assembly enterprises, the articlefocuses on the researching and solving the following problems:(1) Data collection in warehouse. Due to the dispersion and concurrency of warehouseoperations, the study researches on the distribution features of data terminal in data collection,communications integration technology and the interactive mode with databases.(2) Coupling allocation strategy of ware location. In the prerequisite for improving theefficiency of warehouse operations, some ideas are integrated into the construction of themathematical model of ware location allocation, which has provided the theoretical basis andimplementation for systematically and intelligently allocating ware location, such as, dynamicallocation of ware location, shortening operation time, improving usage efficiency of warelocation and reducing cargo gravity.(3) Delivery allocation strategy. This method takes changing orders, supplier inventoryand warehousing inventory into consideration. It adjusts the production plans throughwarehouse delivery allocation to make a priority for important production orders and realizethe maximum benefit of enterprises with the minimum amount of work adjustment.(4) Standardization of the operating processes. The application of RFID technology andwireless network technology ensures the paperless and automation of warehouse datacollection, which enables operations as planned. While ensuring the operating efficiency, italso improves the black box phenomenon of warehouse management.(5) Automation of data processing. Plenty of data are integrated into daily warehouse operations, such as inventory management, status statistics of ware location, intelligentdecisions, statistics of in-out storage and so on. While improving the data processing speed, itreduces the various errors due to manual processing.The overall architecture of the system is adopted C/S (Client/Server) mode. Based onC++Builder and SQL database technology, it is successfully programmed the functionalmodules of the system. The results shows that the system has preliminarily achieved its designintentions.
