Design And Implementation Of Student Management Information System

Broadly speaking, students’ affair management is a kind of work which islaunched for the sake of students. It is complicated indeed, as it involves almost all theaspects in the whole procedure a student may experience from their entrance to theuniversity to being employed. These years, with the development of informationsystem and its being widely spread, most universities in our country has brought theinformation management system of students’ affair into their work. However, becauseof the complexity and specificity of the work itself and the different requirement ofdifferent departments, many problems exist in information sharing, functionalrequirements and system utilization. All these problems really affect the system’spractical use negatively. So, it has become an urgent demand for us to review andoptimize the present information system, combining with the project managementtheory. And this act has great theoretical and practical significance.This paper will review and analyse the project management and some relevanttheories. While at the same time, I try to find out the problems in the students’ affairsystem applied in Baoji University Arts and Sciences and come up with some solutionsafter the survey about it. The idea we adopt in the project management is based on thefunction we’ve already had and the current needs of front line teachers in BaojiUniversity Arts and Sciences. Moreover, we are to put more emphasis on the overallscheme, the system real functions, users’ features, the database service and theinterface.As for its function, we will sense the adjustment we make to several modules,including the system management module, the register and login module, the basicinformation management module, the students’ comment module and the vocationalinformation system. Besides, we plan to add new module (Comprehensive AssessmentManagement, Psychological Health Screening Module, and Critical Warming Module).To benefit its users, more groups are permitted to visit. Moreover, students’perspective, along with parents perspective, alumnus’ perspective and employers’perspective will be added. We hope that system users will be in favor of all theimprovement we make.
