Study On Accounting Process Reengineering In Big Data Era

With the deep development and application of information technology, the worldtoday has entered the era of big data. Big data is coming into all walks of life on aviolent situation. Data is turning into strategic resource as important as humanresource and nature resource, and have great influence on the society and economy,which has drawn much attention of the theory and practice. As an important part ofthe society and economy, accounting will be affected by the big data era inevitably.Due to its data feature of volume, variety, great value and its information demandfeature of diversity and personality, big data era has put new requirements onaccounting and brought challenges and opportunities. How to change accounting inresponse to the opportunities and the challenges of big data era is a subject thatworthies studying. Accounting process, on which the accounting work relies, is aseries of activities to achieve accounting goals and its effectiveness can play animportant role in the matter that accounting deals with big data era. Relatively thisarticle provides a solution to deal with big data by reengineering accounting process.With the characteristic of the big data era and its requirements on accounting asthe breakthrough point, this paper finds out that traditional accounting processes can’tmeet the demand of the era after analyzing the traditional accounting processes andconcludes that accounting process is in great need of restructuring. Then the paperputs forward the idea to structure an accounting process with all people cooperatingand all processes interacting.On the basis of process integration of finance and business, the reengineeredaccounting process absorbs the collection, management and analysis of unstructureddata. Under the direction of organizational coordination theory and collectiveintelligence opinion, the new process emphasizesto fully arouse the enthusiasm ofthe people alongside the whole process and use the power of group to manage thecollection, handling, output and analysis of big data to cope with the challenge of bigdata era to realize the leap development of accounting in the new era.The innovative points of this article are mainly in the following respects.(1)The paper provides a new solution for accounting to challenge the big data erafrom the aspect of process studying, which lays a solid foundation to achieveaccounting goals in the new era. At the same time, this paper enriches the study ofaccounting process reengineering in the view of big data era. (2) By applying the collective intelligence and organizational coordinationtheory into reengineering accounting process, this paper enriches the theoretical basisof accounting process reengineering.(3) The paper absorbs unstructured data into accounting process. It not onlycarries on the management of structured data, but also improves the collection,processing, output and mining of unstructured data. Particularly, it innovatively putsforward the idea to mining the value of big data by collective intelligence according tothe theory of crowd sourcing and emphasizes on the influence of people as well as bigdata technology.(4) This paper puts the accounting organization foundation that the rebuiltaccounting process relied on with a new definition, proposes the concept ofaccounting ethnic group and expounds its connotation and structure.
