Fingerprint Recognition Algorithm And Its Realization Based On Gabor Filter

When it comes to the recogonization of biology technology,it is not clear to the ordinary people,but to the fingerprint identification technology,many people do know something about it.Especially in modern wrold the fingerprint identification technology has been widely used in solving a criminal case.In fact,biometric technology can be commonly understood that it uses the high technology,such as computer and optics association,PC and biosensors combination,to identify the inhent features of human beings,including the fingerprint,face and iris.However, of all the characteristics identification, fingerprint identification technology is the most widely used,whose history is the most long.From solving a criminal case to IT use, online-bank and electronic commerce which are something advanced, the fingerprint identification technology will be used in more fields in the future,to make a contribution on information safety.This paper mainly introduces how to realise the algorithms in Gabor filtering,which is in the base of texture,with computer language tool MATLAB6.5.Pre-processing algorithm of fingerprint image and feature extraction algorithm are the more important.Both of them have been programed.At last,all the process of fingerprint identification will be showed.So it is successful to finish fingerprint identification.
