The traditional examination generally includes examination paper preparation, candidates’examination, manual scoring processes. For some courses, with the increase in the number of candidates, the workload of teachers will become huge and their work will be very tedious and very error-prone. Then, with the development of online education, this education model becomes popular in China, like the online education platform of Beijing Normal University, however, its scoring fairness and its access friendliness should be improved further.Based on the status quo of online examination management, the online examination management system based on LAMP is designed. First, this paper studies the background and significance of online examination system, presents the status quo of online examination system at home and abroad, and introduces the technologies related to LAMP. It also makes some analyses on requirements, including functional requirements and performance requirements. And this system adopts browser/server architecture. This paper conducts an in-depth analysis on system configuration, operation mechanism, applicable technology and concrete implementation of online examination system under the network environment and presents the development principle, overall planning, design idea and the implementation details of key modules of the system. It also analyses and expounds the exam-paper organization’strategies and exam-paper organization’algorithm design of the test library system and to ensure system security, rationality, fairness. With the test on this software, this online examination management system can run properly. However, its security and efficiency should be improved further.
