Along with the development of computer and network technologies, a combination of remote control technology and laboratory equipment is becoming increasingly common. A remote control device allows students to complete laboratory experimental content through the network in different places, to achieve resource sharing, to facilitate the management and maintenance of laboratory equipment. With the non-linear, strong coupling, multivariable, large hysteresis and other features of three-tank liquid level system as an experimental platform, using the TCP/IP network communication technology, C#and MFC object-oriented technology, Matlab programming technology, the experiment device enables the user to control the three-tank experiment platform remotely or locally.Universities and companies both at home and abroad did a lot of research in performance improvements, the control algorithm validation for three-tank. However, traditional three-tank experimental system still has the problems of a large size, high-cost, scalability is not strong, and so on. Considering that remote control experiment system do not allow users to access to laboratory equipment directly, a set of miniature, low-cost automatic three-tank experimental system was designed. Automatic three-tank experimental system consists of three parts:physical objects, acquisition control platform, and software platform. The physical objects platform consists of three water tanks, countertops, electrical boxes and sink, composed with solenoid valves, electric valves, submersible pumps, heating pipes and other charged objects. The automatic control function was realized by this platform. Acquisition control platform was developed using AD μ C834chip as master chip, including data acquisition, communication module, device control module, power module. Remote control software is developed based on the Microsoft.NET platform, with dynamic features such as Flash display, curved display.This paper describes the TCP/IP communications protocols, synchronous, asynchronous communication mechanism and multi-threaded development technologies. Microsoft SQL Serve2005implements database storage. Mixed with C#compilation with MATLAB technology, the software allows users to embed their own control algorithms to verify the control effect, to achieve the extended functionality of three-tank system. MFC object-oriented programming techniques were used to develop exchange platform system, to further improve the functionality of the entire system. Finally, a number of experiments were done to test the system with remote control and local control, the actual curve of remote control, compilation of mixed control and local control shows the effectiveness of this experimental system, verify the stability and reliability.
