A Study About The Virtual Community Of Micro-blog From The Perspective Of Sociology

Sociology had became a mature discipline after a long period of continuous developmentand improvement since it was born in France in19th century. Some theories of Sociologycould provide a great help for us to understand some of the new social phenomenons.Micro-blog,as a new communication tools,had aroused a great deal of response.That hadbecame a social phenomenon that could not be evaded. Micro-blog had not only influenced inthe field of journalism and communication but also social interactions and the public spheresince the date of its birth.This paper attempted to analyze micro-blog by means of thecognitive theory of Sociology such as the theory of capital/the theory of Community and soon.The purpose of the analysis was to deepen people’s understanding of micro-blog and triedhard to seek advantages and avoid disadvantages.This paper had three major components: preface, body and conclusion.The preface focused on the rapid development of new media in China, and also carriedout a more detailed introduction of the object of this paper-Sina micro-blog.The first chapter analyzed the reasons behind the rise of micro-blog by the use of thecapital theory and also introduced the social capital in micro-blog.The second chapter described the micro-blog users gradually formed "communities" inthe process of using micro-blog.Then the paper analyzed the the characteristics of virtualcommunities about micro-blog and tried to classify the communities in micro-blog.The third chapter and the fourth chapter consolidated to use the theories of journalismand communication and political science to get a comprehensive summary of the positive roleand negative role of the the virtual community of micro-blog.The fifth chapter put forward some measures about the benign development about thecommunity of micro-blog in the basis of the foundation laid by the previous sections of thepaper. The conclusion part summarized this paper and highlighted the significant value ofit.This part also enlighten people should keep thinking about how to promote benigndevelopment of micro-blog.
