It is every citizen’s obligatory to save energy and protect environment. The basicenergy saving node is each family. The home energy management is provided for energysaving and environmental protection. It is not only can be used as a standalone system tomonitor and analyze the home energy consume mode, but also as an integral part of thesmart home system.The work focused on three areas as follow: Firstly, by comparison of the wirelesscommunication technology and power line carrier communication technology, the powerline carrier communication technology is selected as the communication way of homeenergy management system. The construction and prospect of home energy managementsystem is studied and analyzed thoroughly. Secondly, the hardware and software of homeenergy management system is designed to detect and analyze the condition of the family’sdevice energy consumption. Thirdly, fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is used toanalyze the habit of the residents energy consumption. A mathematical model based on thefuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is established to evaluate the energy saving andcomfort. According to the mathematical model, the suggestion is given out to find abalance point between the residents energy saving and comfort.The experiment shows that the system can achieve the desired results. It is a goodreference for future research on home energy management system technologies.
