Compared to traditional video surveillance, embedded network video surveillanceadvantages in low cost, low power consumption, high reliability, network management andinteraction. With the development of embedded technology and image processing technology,Moving object detection system, which based on embedded network video surveillance, as itsproactive monitoring, greatly enhance the monitoring efficiency and other advantages,moving object detection system is becoming a hot research field of video surveillance.Traditional video surveillance belongs to passive monitoring, it usually has many defectssuch as: massive recording video data, inefficient, and require specific staff for24-hoursurveillance. we designed a system of moving object intelligent detection focused on eventdriven surveillance, as an important branch of computer vision technology, the purpose ofmoving object detection is to achieve the real-time video capture and detection of movingobjects such as vehicles, pedestrians, and get the storage of people-concerned informationused for the analysis of site conditions, in order to achieve event driven surveillance,resources saving and monitoring efficiency improving. System consists of severalcomponents, after analysis and design of system, we made the configuration of the hardwareand operating system for the system, selected the Samsung S3C6410processor as the coreand Linux as the operating system, and gradually configured peripheral hardware andsoftware design of the system, and identified system framework, then gradually elaborated thekey technology of video capture, compression and transmission while building the wholesystem, and built en embedded Web server to view real-time monitoring scene, lastly madethe test and evaluation of system.Experimental results show that the embedded moving object detection system not onlyhas the functions of video capture storage and network monitoring management, but alsoachieve early warning, active capture and storage for the moving targets in the zone of camerasurveillance. It has successfully achieved the goal of proactive monitoring, which has greatapplication prospects.
