In recent years, our country has issued a series of policy documents, a set ofeffective measures to vigorously support the domestic animation industry, whichprovide a broad development platform for the rapid and sound development ofdomestic animation! At the same time, Many Animation companies havemushroomed in a short time, causing animation market boom abnormally butanimation talents in great shortage! So, many colleges and universities,in order tokeep up with the market demand, are busy running these kinds of major at themoment. However, another fact is that, due to the constraints of the teachers,equipment and teaching quality in the secondary vocational schools, especially thoseunderdeveloped ones in the western regions, animation specialty teaching effect is notvery desirable, such as without clear teaching purpose, without grasping the natureduring the teaching process, as a result, what the teachers taught and the studentslearned aren’t connected with what the market demands well.To deal with the above problems, this paper, based on Windows XP SP3operation platform, using3DS Max2009as the main software tool, throughtheoretical study and practical verification, designs a certain polygon modeling ideaand relevant rendering technology for secondary vocational education, which is basedon " construct, compile, break and lock", hoping to improve the animation majorconstruction and help the teaching quality. So this article includes the following parts:1、Analyze the current situation and the causes of the problems about animationdesign in secondary vocational schools, in the meanwhile, put forward a more properpolygon modeling theory and thought which is based on "construct, compile, andbreak, lock" to help the teachers and students to understand the basic process and theessence of the polygon modeling quickly as well as make the teaching goals and ideasclearer and clearer during the teaching process.2、Summarize the rendering technology about three-dimensional models. Mainlydiscussed and put forward some render theories and skills, including lightingtechnology, texture mapping technology, and the renderer technology to make themquickly adapt the secondary vocational schools’ teaching process and enable teachersand students to render of high quality and speed on the basis of the modeling, which lay a solid foundation for animation and late synthesis.3、In view of the current problems and status existing in the secondary vocationalschool about animation major, how to improve the teaching quality of animationdesign in secondary vocational schools, improve the students’ ability to adapt to themarket and the long-term construction and development of this major are explored inthis article, hoping to provide some help and reference in animation specialty teachingin secondary vocational schools.
