The space optical remote sensing system’s imaging quality is decided by many factors. These factors include atmosphere, optical system, the stability of the satellite platform, CCD detector, data transmission system and ground handling, etc. The traditional research of remote sensing system is not considering the transfer of gray information. Information transfer capability of the remote sensing systems is not fully realized. This dissertation use the information theory method to analyze the gray information transfer process of remote sensing imaging process, and research the parameter matching of every subsystem of remote sensing link.Firstly, remote sensing full link will be divided into seven parts, the full link include atmosphere optical systems, the stability of the satellite platform, CCD detector and electronic circuits, and to establish every part’s information transfer model. In order to make the analysis result more objective, this dissertation selects the mountains, rivers, sea port, city and airport different scenarios of two-dimensional distribution of light as the input signal, and the input scene model be processed into discrete, the gray information will be expressed in statistical average method. Secondly, we will simulation the imaging process of different scenarios which are transported by every subsystem and by the remote sensing full link. Evaluation indexes are determined by the principle of information theory. We calculation and analysis the information evaluation indexes when the scenes were transported. Finally, this paper calculation and analysis the changes of the information evaluation indexes between the scenes and there simulation result, study the transfer ability of every subsystem and the remote sensing full link, and research parameter matching of subsystems. Through research and analysis, we found that atmosphere and optical systems are the main factors of gray information changes. The extent of information transmission efficiency and channel capacity losses more than10%.CCD detector’s effect is smaller, the effect of the satellite platform and data transmission system are very little, that two factors can be negligible. Because the atmospheric factor is not controllable, this paper change the structural parameters of optical system and CCD detector to study the parameters matching relations. The results show that when the F#of optical system smaller than14, and the pixel size of the CCD detector smaller than8μm, the remote sensing full link could have well capacity of gray information transmission.
