Solar Street Light Intelligent Control System

Recent years the size and power consumption of street lighting is more and more big，so how to save energy and improve the level of street lamp management has become an urgent problem. Solar energy as the energy source of street lamp，not only can solve the problem of large power consumption, but also has an important significance to reduce environmental pollution. ZigBee as a new communication technology, with its advantages of low power consumption, reliable communications and large amount of network capacity provides a good solution for the remote control of street lamp.Fistly, through the research on solar power and ZigBee wireless communication technology, designed a solar street lamp control system,which mainly includes the solar tracking system and ZigBee wireless network. Solar spotlight system adopts the photoelectric tracking and traiectory tracking, with the improved maximum power theory,always ensure solar panels in the maximum power state; ZigBee wireless network system based on ZigBee module and MCU minimum system and other peripherals to complete the design of main node module and routing node module,with the help of the LabVIEW software completed the design of upper machine, to enhance the stability and reliability of data communication network, after analysis of the structure characterstics of ZigBee network topology, select the mesh topology connection main node module and routing node module, and the LabVIEW software can communicate with the master node module,realize real-time monitoring every street lamp function.Then, according to the system design requirements,completed the hardware and software design of solar spotlight and ZigBee wireless network system, which the solar system consists of sensor module, rotating platform, driving module, display module and keyboard module; ZigBee wireless network system mainly includes a main node module, a number of routing nodes module and LabVIEW of upper machine software.Finally, through the experiment proved that the solar spotlight system can stably work in all weather conditions and spotlight accuracy is higher, realizing the expected design goal; ZigBee wireless network communication distance, the time of network setup and the stability of the network have reached the target of streetlights wireless monitoring requirements.
