Along with the commercial applications degree of infrastructure as a service(IaaS) deepening in recent years, the pricing mode becomes the focus of cloud serviceindustry and academia circles. Although IaaS has certain commonness with traditionalinformation products and services, which have their own distinct characteristicsbecause of changes in historical backgrounds, cultural traditions, IT technology andeconomic environment, for example the marginal cost is negligible, high scalability,flexible service and so on. IaaS Cloud computing service providers need to developand use effective pricing strategies, pricing methods and price competition strategiesin order to expand its market share, and consolidate its position in the market, andenhance their own competitive power. At present, the IaaS cloud computing servicepricing is basically choose the single model of pay per use, so how to enrich the IaaScloud computing service pricing strategies and methods and to analysis the pricecompetition problems of IaaS cloud computing services is the current theoreticalresearch hotspots.Firstly, the paper discusses the concept, the characteristics and developmentsituation of IaaS cloud computing service, and analyzes the related theory of cloudcomputing. Then the paper focuses on IaaS cloud service pricing strategies, pricingmethods, and price competition strategies. Specifically, the main research contents areas follows:(1) IaaS cloud computing services’ pricing factors, pricing strategies and pricingmethods. Based on the study of Amazon and Microsoft cloud service enterprise’sbilling model, point out of the pricing factors from cloud service providers and users,and analysis four kinds of pricing strategy which cloud service providers use: timematerial pricing strategy, two stage pricing strategy, differential pricing strategy andauction pricing strategy. Finally, according to the substance of this four pricingstrategies, find out the generally uses of three pricing methods on the cloud servicemarket: Pay-per-use, Subscription and dynamic pricing method.(2) The range measurement of IaaS cloud computing service price based onBSM model. By dividing the IaaS cloud service resource parameters, and mapping thedivided resource parameter to the BSM model. Calculated out of two pricing methodsof Pay-per-use and Subscription under different cloud service quality level of price range, and comparative analysis the cloud computing service providers’ incomegained by the two pricing methods of one-year (short-term) and three-year(long-term). Provides a reference standard for the IaaS cloud computing serviceprovider provide cloud computing service.(3) The price competition problem research of IaaS cloud computing service.Based on divide the quality of cloud computing service, providing two service level ofcloud computing service--stand service and premium service. Then starting from therevenue of cloud computing service provider, and analysis under the short-term andlong-term IaaS cloud computing service, two cloud service providers’ pricecompetition problem of provide different cloud service level.
