Development Of Scheduling System For The Training Rooms Of Colleges

As more importance is attached to vocational education, more higher vocational collegesset practical training as their crucial and distinguishing feature. Nevertheless, as more coursesrequire training workshops, manual scheduling often fail to conduct effective organizations,which poses a great challenge. Based on some case studies about training workshopmanagement and scheduling in Guangdong Vocational Institute of Administration, this thesiscarries out a research on designing and developing a training workshop schedulingmanagement system, which is believed to be of practical importance.This thesis studies various problems in training workshop management, and analyzesdifferent user demands in using and scheduling workshops. With the help of UML detailedanalysis, it also explores the needs of anonymous users, teacher users, Department ofAcademic Affairs, technical staff and senior administrators in charge of training workshops.Based on analysis of demands, this thesis develops a training workshop schedulingmanagement system, which includes functions of checking, application, verification, statisticsand system management. It also elaborates on: how to design and carry out each functionmodule; a third-party e-mail reminder to make sure prompt reply to teacher users’applications; saving account information by using MD5encryption and Session so as toensure security. This thesis also expounds on the database design by giving relative designideas and structures. By employing B/S structure and APS, applying CSS to design userinterface style, this system enables automatic course scheduling, and it is compatible with avariety of browsers.Last but not least, this thesis conducts tests on each function module, enclosing mainexamples, useful illustrations and function testing. The results demonstrate that this systemgives a satisfied performance.
