The railway history of China can date back to the late19th century, it has formed arailway network covering the whole nation after more than a century of development and itnot only meets most of the passengers’ travel demand, but also undertakes the important roleof bulk cargo transportation. However, with the popularization of global informationization,the advantage of informatization construction is more and more prominent, so countries hasbeen increasing efforts to get their railway information construction planning closer to theinformatization, and they have achieved good results. Our country has a big area andpopulation, so the railway system we have built is massive and complex. With theaccumulation of varies kinds of data and information, the manual management and allocationmethods are not applicable under the trend of informatization, in order to improve theefficiency of resource utilization and increase the management and service vigor of railwaydepartments, China actively got into the railway informatization construction and extensivelyabsorbed the world outstanding achievements in construction.We have set up a completedatabase systems and built up some railway operation subsystems which has been put into use,each system based on the corresponding data accomplishes the information updates,maintenance and statistical business, comparing with the traditional manual operation modes,and they not only liberate personnels working on data management from heavy manual labor,but also greatly improve the management efficiency of data. Although systems oriented toprofessional workers have been widely used, but at present the service systems for passengersare still less, most of the existing systems only open some simple and basic functions such asinquiration of train number, train hours and so on, in the environment of increasingly fiercecompetition and improving consumer demand, how to effectively to provide more easyservice for the passengers becomes one of the important problems for departments to consider.Moreover, although the subsystems can independently run well, but it lacks the effectiveinformation sharing and communication mechanisms between systems, even in the same internal system, information exchange level is not high, the presence of these elements willdirectly influence the management decision-making ability, and the condition of informationstored repeatly or inconsistently can also reduce the passengers’ satisfaction to the service ofrailway departments.Based on the analysis and study of existing functions of each sub-system, expressing theadvantages of original systems, avoiding their shortcomings, combining with otherrequirements, integrating the advanced modern information technology and softwareengineering idea, constructing a railway passenger electronic income integration system basedon B/S and C/S structure, facing the different persons involved to the railway transportprocess at the same.This paper firstly proposes the background and significance of the research, andresearches situation of the construction of railway informatization at home and abroad, alsoabout some technologies used in the construction of railway information system, and makethe main analysis of the function of domestic railway systems; then the demand for users ofthe system are analyzed, and summary some non-functional requirements of the system, suchas convenience, safety, practical and easy maintenance, etc.; by combining the presentsituation of existing system, complete the design work of the whole system, including thesystem design principle, structural design and function module design, then complete thesystem’s database design, focusing on the design of several important data table structureinvolved in the system; based on the above analysis and design, discuss several criticaltechnologies used in the development of the system, and put forward some systemdevelopment plan based on the corresponding technology. Finally, complete the developmentand testing work of the system, and illustrate the well running effect by the present of codeand graph.
