Microfludic chip is a new technology based on micro-electronics mechanical system (MEMS). Different micro-structures such as micro-channel, micro-pump and micro-valve, micro-room and micromixing room can be made on a substrate (eg., glass, fused silica PDMS, and etc.) to implement functions of sample injection, reaction, separation and detection. It promotes the whole process from complication to simplicity (ie., microminiaturization and integration), thereby realizing micro total analysis system (μTAS) .Microfludic chip is the core component ofμTAS. Although real-time monitoring and integrated operation on microfludic chip are the keys of the entire system, studies on this aspect are rare so far. The thesis developed a microfludic chip control system based on virtual instrument technique according to the characteristics and functions of microfludic chip as well as virtual instrument. This system can fulfill a high-precision automation of micro-liquid injection, separation, mixing and cell-sorting appended with real-time monitoring and controlling functions.First, we accomplished the software and hardware design of microfludic chip control system, according to functional requirements of microfludic chip and characteristics of virtual technology.Second, we optimized the properties of micro-valve and micro-pump by using NI PCI-6513 data acquisition card to further understanding of the operating situation of micro-valve and micro-pump, and then optimized the system.Furthermore, we completed the whole system-construction and programming work, and conducted the precise control of micro-liquid, automation control of inner microfluidics and cell-sorting experiments, the results were all satisfactory. The dissertation demonstrates that the microfludic chip control system we developed based on virtual instrument technique has following superiorities: small amount of samples, high speed of detection, precise control of micro-liquid, real-time monitoring, miniaturization, integration, and automation. By this system, we can test properties of micro-pump and micro-valve of microfludic chip and get reliable and visible data. This facilitates both design of system and data analysis in theory. Collectively, this system can improve the micro analysis of microfludic chip entirely, and meets the requirements of miniaturization, integration, and control automation for microfludic chip. It has a wide prospect in the future of biology as well as providing a new theoretic reference for the industrialization development of microfludic chip.
