This article has designed an automated device that can perform a variety of pathological tissue staining,allowing the micro-dispensing of expensive reagents.The equipment is mainly targeted at markets such as battlefield hospitals,community hospitals,and research institutes.It can perform immediate staining and shorten the pathological detection cycle.Pathological techniques play an unpredictable role in the prevention,diagnosis,treatment,prognosis of the disease,detection of pathogens.The standardization of the staining technology is the key factor to ensure the reliable and accurate detection results.However,at present,the staining operations of pathology are mostly manual operations and the staining results do not have homogeneity,which seriously affect the efficiency of pathological examination and the development of clinical medical science.Therefore,it is imperative to develop an automated staining apparatus.However,the current automatic staining equipment is either expensive or single-stained.The main difficulties are: First,there are many staining steps and reagents,the process is complicated,and automatic control is difficult;Second,some of the staining reagents are so expensive that require micro-injection,making distribution difficult.Therefore,it is of great significance to develop a low-cost automated equipment that satisfies a variety of staining methods.Based on this,this paper proposes a research and production of a multifunctional staining equipment based on microvalve chip.This article starts from the following five parts:(1)Analysis and determination of the overall system plan.(2)Design of reagent injection and distribution module based on microvalve chip.The microvalve chip is used for reagent distribution and has a unique structure.The glass and the PDMS film are effectively bonded together by a soft film transfer method.After the flow rate test,it can be concluded that the microvalve chip can withstand great pressure,and the PDMS membrane layer has good barrier and rebound capabilities,and the coordinated microchanne l can perform complex microfluidic control.The external force of the reagent injection is provided by the peristaltic pump.The back-suction scheme is adopted,which not only makes the control simple,but also greatly saves the production cost and space.(3)The design of hardware circuit based on STM32F107,including reagent sampling distribution module circuit,temperature control module circuit,human-computer interaction module circuit,sensor detection module circuit.(4)Software design,including the embedded programming of the underlying driver code of each module,and the LabVIEW programming of the control software.(5)Staining test of the equipment.The operation of the equipment was stable and the staining was uniform,the cell structure was clear,and the effect was good.It met the requirements of various staining methods proposed.
