Since the 1980’s collective memory has been paid autmost attention by theoretical circles and it is an important part of a nation. National recognition comes into being along with the emergence of human and it acts important function in collective memory. There are important research produts in field study and research of the collective memory in domestic. It needs to improved across the board that the case especially study memory and recognition of a tribe. It is a great cultural value to study the west-moving of Chahar Mongols white flag.This thesis field studies Chahar mogols white flag’s west-moving to Bole region of Xingjiang. This Chahar is a famous tribe in Mongolians’ history. Chahar Eight Banners was dispatched from Zhangjiakou Rehe to perform garrison duty in Xinjiang in Qing Dynasty to consolidated border defense. Culture can shape personality of a ethnic group. Molding of the inspirit which are love of the motherland,guarding the border, diligent and simple during the west-moving. And such west-moving spirit became a continuation of the treasures. Chahar ancestors’ s glorious history lasting forever in memory and refresh people’s memory of west-moving. Remembrance of this historical events has great significance.This paper has introduction,body, conclusion three parts. The body is constituted of Six chapters.Chapter 2 introduces the Chahar Mongolian moved to the West in Bortala Prefecture of Xinjiang overview, Chapter 3 discusses the chahar Mongolian historical memory; Chapter 4 introduces the Chahar Mongolian customs and ethnic identity; Chapter 5 introduced moved to the West 250 years commemoration and ethnic identity; Chapter 6 mainly describe the collective memory in Bozhou Chahar Mongolian’s tea party, and agglomerates the ethic group as a whole.
