| The elderly with age, their body physiological function and immunity gradually decrease,many diseases affect the physical health of the elderly. In recent years, diseases such as senile dementia, hypertension, coronary heart disease and senile cataract constantly brought trouble to the life of elderly, the senile dementia prevalence is higher and higher,thus they got much attention of the whole society.Affected by the economy and traditional ideas, dementia elderly mostly taken care of by people at home. With the continuous development of their condition, they gradually lose life self-care ability, so their family caregivers are responsible for all the daily life of the elderly, including clothing, eating and using the toilet. Those family caregivers can not get enough rest. Between caregivers and patients can’t communicate effectively, caregivers can not experience the feeling of the heart patients, also can not get the patient’s emotional support, also hard to get emotional support from social, they feel great psychological pressure.Practice tell us that we should strengthen attention to psychological health status of family caregivers. If their psychology health determines whether they can gain positive feelings in the process of care for the dementia elderly and whether the dementia elderly would be able to get the high quality of care.Based on case work methods, using the method of narrative therapy intervene the dementia elderly L and his family caregiver Y. Through many times interview, author assist Y catharsis increasing stacked negative emotions, help Y to study the related knowledge and skills, guide Y to promote self-identity by reviewing and rewrite story, then Y could apply this method to adjust the self mood. Practice proved that Narrative therapy intervene for family caregivers of dementia elderly psychological counseling effectively. This study provides the experience for other social workers who work in related field. |
