Reading teaching plays a very important role in Chinese teaching, which has been highly concerned by scholars for a long time; therefore, research papers and thoughts are emerging in an endless stream. People in the mechanisms of physiology, mentality and intelligence are different in different age periods. Junior high school stage is a critical period of physical and mental development of students, because they have some special psychological traits. Teachers should grasp the main features and use appropriate reading methods to guide the teaching of reading in order to cultivate Junior High School Students’ reading ability effectively.Zhu Xi, who was the master and the main representative of Neo-Confucianism in Song dynast. He was enthusiastic about knowledge all his life and has accumulated rich teaching experience, and formed a complete and systematic educational philosophy and teaching methods, which has a certain guidance to teaching.Zhu Xi inherited the Confucian traditions and put moral education in the first place in the teaching and emphasized the truth of learning. His ideologies of studies are concluded into six principles called ’Zhu reading methods: Zhu Xi ’ s being attentive and hold annals, step by step, read and think, modesty, cut into connotation. The six principles form an organic wholeness and have many internal couplings, which are a completed process and are the essence of the reading experience generating based on the Chinese ancient profound culture accumulation and have important guiding significance for the teaching of reading in junior high school language.This paper is divided into five parts, specifically includes: The first part is the introduction. This part is elaborated from four aspects: the origins of topic, researching meaning, research status in quo, research methods. The second part is the first chapter of this article; this chapter mainly introduces the connotation of Zhu Xi’s reading method. Combined with background, it analysis the essence and shortcomings of Zhu Reading Method. Finally, combined with the compulsory education curriculum standards to interpret contemporary Zhu Xi’s reading methods. The third part is the second chapter of essay. This chapter is mainly on the basis of the field observations. By tutoring record, founding and summarizing up the problems which exist in the junior middle school Chinese reading teaching: reading teaching pattern, random of reading teaching, reading teaching utilitarianism. From two aspects of teachers and students to analyze the causes of the problem. Finally three specific recommendations of the general goal of Chinese curriculum in compulsory education and content requirements, reading milestones and content requirements pointing, reading teaching requirements to analysis the junior middle school language reading teaching point.The fourth part is the third chapter of this paper, but also the most important chapter. This chapter mainly through teaching case study, Presentation of lecture records to analyze and summarize the characteristics of teachers’ teaching process. Besides, the author came up with different reading methods to design lesson plans and discussed on the use of Zhu Reading Method in Junior Chinese Reading Teaching. It aims to solve the problems existing in the junior high school’s Chinese reading teaching, complete the requirements of the curriculum standards for reading teaching, and stimulate students’ reading interest and cultivate students’ reading ability by reading instruction of Zhu reading methods. The fifth part is the conclusion. The author gives a general overview on the achievements and the significance of the paper, and it mainly elaborates the times limitation of the Zhu Xi’s reading methods and the limitations of the paper.
