Especially the energy industry, due to it’s heavy pollution and consumption, has seriously endangered the safety of the ecological environment, which has caused our party to attach great importance to the ecological environment issues. In advocate ecological civilization today, the petroleum industry with the development of green ecological civilization, is the new forum of beauty China. Petroleum colleges and universities are closely related the petroleum industry, there are green research and education as the basis of ecological civilization, the research topics are mostly facing the petroleum industry or problems need to be solved, so the ecological civilization education in petroleum colleges and universities, specialized training for the petroleum industry talent is the construction of ecological civilization crucial part.The content of the paper consists of four parts: the first part mainly states the position and role that petroleum colleges and universities play in ecological civilization education.
