Geography is a subject of high-span. With the development of the society, the new curriculum standards for teaching geography proposed new requirements that the classroom should closely linked to students life and surroundings. New events as an important curriculum resources reflects its wide range of information and fast update rate. So the introduction of geographic news is essential for the high school geography class.The new curriculum standard require to take the students as the main body of the classroom, teachers just carry out the purpose of guiding students to learn. Both work together to complete the task of teaching.Teachers guide students to complete the work of collecting and collating the geography news material for the appropriate sections,and make students are enable to reach the level of proficiency in the use of news material. In order to cultivate students’ ability to learn by themselves, think independently and the ability to solve real-life problems and improve the overall quality of students.This subject mainly research the geography news creative practice in middle school geography teaching. The purpose is to be able to propose a set of operational programs. It can mak the geography news material to better serve middle school geography teaching. So the three-dimensional object of the new curriculum can be better realized.The thesis adopts the methods of combination of theoretical and practical, on the constructive theory, emotional teaching theory of multiple intelligence, educational communication theory as the theoretical support.
