At present,there were increasingly researches on flipped classroom at home and abroad.However,few studies on flipped classroom combining with the geography of normal university were conducted.This research is mainly based on the combination of theoretical knowledge and practice investigation,using constructivism theory,recent development area theory,cognitive load theory as supports.Literature,questionnaire survey,interview and other research methods were used,to explore the teaching mode suitable for geography in normal university guided with the classroom teaching model and teaching philosophy and combined with previous research,Through literature,this study found the research status and deficiency of the flipped classroom.Through the investigation of present situation of geography teaching in normal universities,this study found the defects that the traditional teaching modes train geography students.The basic principles and the basic instructional design processes of teaching designs of normal university were discuss based on the theory and practice on the investigation.Finally,the author took the knowledge of “frontal system” as a teaching design example.The results show that,(1)both here and abroad,the specific course teaching design processes applied in flipped classroom teaching mode are simple,and disjointed with the practical teaching.The operability is poor.In addition,there are few studies on the combination of flipped classroom and geography curriculum.(2)Based on the survey of the current situation of geography teaching in normal universities,it is found that the traditional teaching model lacks the knowledge and skill training for geography teachers.(3)Based on the learning theory of constructivism,the theory of proximal development zone and the theory of cognitive load theory and so on,the normal university geography teaching design principles of the flipped classroom teaching mode are put forward.The principles are integrity,dual subjectivity and communicative interaction.(4)Based on the three principles of the teaching design,the basic processes of flipped classroom teaching mode of normal university are puts forward.The teaching designs include the stage of transmission of knowledge before class and the stage of internalization of knowledge in class.Among them,the stage of transmission of knowledge is divided into six steps.The first step is teaching content analysis and the second one is learning situation analysis.The third step is the design of learning tasks and it is followed by the design and production of teaching micro-video.The next one is uploading micro class and other learning materials and finally gathering students' problems.The stage of internalization of knowledge is divided into three steps.the first step is the design of communication and answer questions and next is to strengthen the practice design.Final is to summarize and evaluate.(5)Through the teaching design of "frontal system",the rethink is made.Some problems which should be pay attention in teaching design are put forward.Emphasizing individuation,creating a collaborative environment,emphasizing operability combined with the teaching practice,and emphasizing the evaluation of students' usual performance.Through the above results,this paper provides some consults and references for the application of flipped classroom teaching mode in the teaching of Geography in normal university.
