“Conflict” is not a strange word, it occupies the major field of life: from racial struggle to personal disputes. As a common social phenomenon, there is no doubt that conflict has become a part of the organization. This is because personality differences, individual sense can cause conflict, or institutional structure, organization environment also can lead to conflict. Of course, dealing with conflict is an important and urgent task for managers. But in our country, people pay a little attention to conflict management, one of the most important reason is the relatively simple knowledge for conflict in the workplace, which is closely related to the scarce domestic related theory research. Such as the influence factors of conflict resolution strategy has gained great attention, but the study is scattered in some articles.On the basis of domestic and foreign scholars research, this paper focus on Chinese companies, trying to explore the influence factors of workplace conflict resolution strategy. Research shows that regardless of personal factors or external factors, individuals tend to choose problem-solving strategies. Men are more likely to take a strong strategy and less tend to avoidance strategy and yield strategy than women. Post 70 s is more likely to take a strong strategy and less tend to compromise strategy than post 80 s, post 90 s. The higher position, the higher tendency to choose strong strategy, and the less inclined to yield and compromise strategy. Age and position has a significant interaction effect for a strong strategy, to the post 80 s and post 90 s, the higher position the higher tendency to take a strong strategy. State-owned enterprises and foreign enterprises tend to choose compromise strategy than private enterprises. Organization in the mature period is more likely to choose avoidance strategy than organization in the transition and growth period, organization in the transition period is more inclined to compromise strategy than organization in the mature and growth period. Life cycle and organization type have a significant interaction effect for compromise strategies, to state-owned enterprises and private enterprises, organization in the transition period is more inclined to compromise strategy than organization in the mature and growth period. The significance of this study is to clarify individual selection preference of the conflict resolution strategy for manager, which has practical guidance and reference significance in solving conflict problem for the organization.
