| At the beginning of twenty-first Century, China began a new round of basic education curriculum reform, so far it has been more than ten years. With the implementation of the curriculum reform,school-based curriculum became one of the main focuses of the new curriculum reform in our country.The development of school-based curriculum has become an important task of the reform of basic education curriculum. The school-based curriculum is developed for meeting the needs of student development on the basis of the school educational thoughts and philosophy, it gives full expression to the educational thought of “human-orientedâ€, and is in line with the requirements of quality education in the new era, thus it has received widespread attention. This paper takes summer camp school-based curriculum of X middle school as the object of case study, with the questionnaire survey and interview technique, through the investigation and interview of the teachers to participate in the development and implementation of the school-based curriculum in X middle school, analyzes the present situation of development and implementation of summer camp school-based curriculum from a few aspects as follow:the attitudes, human and material conditions, course content, development and implementation process,evaluation and influencing factor, and then summarizes the achievements of five aspects: first, fully reflects the school philosophy; second, the course content shows regional and national characteristics;third, respect the difference between students, pay attention to the development of multiple intelligences of students; forth, focus on the comprehensive development of students’ quality; last, the school-based curriculum combined with network. Through the investigation, the author found that, in the process of development and implementation of summer camp school-based curriculum in Xinjiang X middle school,there are still the following deficiency: first, teachers do not have enough theoretical knowledge about school-based curriculum; second, curriculum development process is not standardized; third, curriculum resources provide less; forth, less training for teachers; fifth, the lack of curriculum experts; last,evaluation system is inadequate. To solve these problems, some suggestions are put forward in this paper:first, teachers need to learn more about the relevant theories of school-based curriculum; second,multi-channel curriculum resources should be developed and utilized; third, the special training of school-based curriculum should be strengthen; fourth, X schools should strengthen the cooperation between universities and X schools itself, and ask for the guidance from experts in universities; fifth, the scientific and reasonable evaluation system of school-based curriculum should be improved. The author hope that this paper would be useful for promoting the development of school-based curriculum theory and practice, and could offer lessons to teachers for developing school-based curriculum to better promote the school-based curriculum development and implementation. |
