| The book, National Music Curriculum Standards for General High School(Experimental),has been issued for over ten years.As the Compulsory Modules of musical learning in Senior High Schools, Music Appreciation plays a significant role in the implementation of educational reform. The author has, targeted at Music Appreciation by People’s Music Publishing House and based on the text reasearch, conducted careful study on the application of this textbook in Qinghua Senior High School through questionnaire Analysis, investigation and class observation. Bibliographic study, survey, exemplification, analytical method, inductive method and so on have been employed to find out the problems exsiting in the application of this text book in musical teaching, on the basis of which the author has put forward suggestions upon careful reflections.The thesis are divided into four parts:Chapter1. Introduction. This chapter presents the background, contents, aim and innovation of the research.Chapter 2. Text research of Music Appreciation. This chapter centers on the structure, contents, theme, arrangements of each unit, the way of presentation and characteristic of the textbook as a whole.Chapter 3. The investigation and analysis on the current application of Music Appreciation. This chapter analyses the application of Music Appreciation in music teaching through surveying students and teachers and observing musical lessons of different levels.Chapter 4. Reflections and suggestions. This chapter puts forward constructive suggestions to students, teachers, and administration on the use of Music Appreciation based on the above research and New Curriculum concept. |
