Group Work Intervention On Parent-child Communication Of Migrant Worker’s Family

Parent-child communication is the Parent-child activities that between parents and children to share experience talking to each other and shorten the differences of each other’s ideas and practices, to promote happy to get along. That parent adolescent communication and children’s growth and development is very closely related conclusions through the existing statistical data analysis. A good parent-child communication can promote children’s mental health, help the healthy growth of children, poor parent-child communication may cause children to have behavioral problems. And a lot of research shows China’s migrant children because they come from a special group, so their parent-child communication situation is not ideal, and there are many problems and social work as a helping profession,it is realistic need to help migrant children to improve the status of parent-child communication.This paper is based on the study of migrant children and their parents in the T community of Wuxi city. Starting from the document research, this paper analyzes the current situation and demand of parent-child communication between migrant workers and children by questionnaire survey and interview method. The relevant survey data show that there are a lot of problems of migrant family communication, and the two sides are not very satisfied with the current situation of parent-child communication. According to the results of the survey, the author to improve migrant children and their parents parenting skills as a starting point to design the seven group activities to carry on the intervention, through group activities, the migrant family parent-child communication improvement. Practice has proved group work method in improving migrant family parent-child communication actuality has a positive role, group activities to improve the parents and the children awareness of communication and communication skills, team members to the group activity form, content also said the affirmation and recognition. Based on the group’s evaluation results, the author makes a summary and Reflection on the group activities, and puts forward the methods and suggestions for the social work in improving the parent-child communication of migrant workers.
