With the rapid development of science and technology nowadays, there are only the people who can study life long and have the ability of study will be able to adapt the society. The curriculum reform of basic education put forward to change the talent training mode, to mobilize students’ learning initiative, to cultivate students’ learning activity. "The ordinary high school chemistry curriculum standard" also explicitly pointed out that it is important to improve self-learning ability in chemistry. Obviously cultivating the self-learning ability in Chemistry teaching has become an important subject of chemical education workers.While the research of training students’ self-learning ability has made great progress, but in the face of different students, cultivating self-learning ability is not all the same. This research has definite the meaning of self-learning ability based on the theory of self-learning and literature study. The author has present situation of the Chemistry self-learning ability in Shanxi normal university experimental middle school. This research has put forward some problems in the chemistry teaching practice based on curriculum reform mode "learning enlightenment performance double spiral development" in our school:Lead to self-learning ability by cases; Improve the ability of self-learning with the help of display; Cultivate self-learning ability by chemical log; Promote self-learning ability by the evaluation.The research has verified problems in the teaching practice, the research results show that:this study proposed some methods can promote the students’ self-learning ability, and received the certain effect in the following respects:(1)The chemistry grades has improved(2) The self-learning consciousness strengthened, they can create the plans and self-supervision(3)The students learned more learning strategies, can show positively, and learned to question.(4) The self reflection and evaluation level has improved.
