The most precious feature of children is the blurry boundary between imagination and reality.The role play is favorite game type.In the game,the imitation the role model,plotting ideas and the development of the game,generation and adjustment rules of the game,constantly enriching early childhood experience and guiding children to behave differently according to self-will,travelling back and forth between the imaginary world and the real world.So currently how is the children’s playfulness in role play carried out in the kindergarten?Are there are any difference between different age and gender groups? What factors will affect the level of playfulness? This essay will focus on the above mentioned questions and discuss the children’ playfulness in role play in great detail.In this study,we will be observing role play carried out in three public kindergartens of H city:CH,HY,WH.We random selected 95 sample from junior, sophomore and senior preschool.We have collected and transcribed the performance of 95 children in video samples.At the same time,based on the theoretical framework of Barnett "the Children’s Playfulness Scale",we revised and adjusted its validity based on the characteristics of surveying,eventually forming measurement tools used in this study,"the Children’s Playfulness Scale in Role Play".We used the tool to individually measure the samples.This study collected data and analyzed the main playfulness in role play from dimensions such as general features,gender,age,different games themes and game quality correlation. The results showed that:(1) The overall children’playfulness in role play is in lower-middle level; (2) Based on the five indicators, "physical spontaneity performance" and "manifest joy" are at moderate level, " social spontaneity "" cognitive spontaneity " performance are not outstanding, " sense of humor " performance is at poor level; (3) The experiment proves the difference between different age groups. The playfulness is improving with a non-linear rising trend, but overall, There is no difference between male and female groups; (4) Children’playfulness is different under different game themes. The best level of performance was achieved under in the social-life game; (5) The quality of the game and children’playfulness are positively correlated, but the correlation is weak.This study is based on analysis of the main features of children’s playfulness in role game. It further analyzes the factors affecting playfulness:limits of gaming environment; lack of game-experience; instructor’s failure of guidance. On this basis, the study proposes advice on targeting education:creating of suitable game environment, arousing the interest of children; creating teacher-child symbiosis game theme; enriching the game experience; enhancing the role of teacher and following the scientific rules.
